Provisional tax instalments, student loan interim payments, GST returns and payments due 28 August 2019

August 28, 2019

The first instalment of provisional tax is due on 28 August for people who have a March balance date.

This due date applies to provisional taxpayers who use the standard or estimation option to calculate their provisional tax payments.

If you use the ratio option to calculate your provisional tax payments and you have a March balance date, your second provisional tax instalment is due on 28 August.

Student loans

This due date also applies to you if you have an interim payment obligation for your student loan. The interim payments you make will be offset against your repayment obligation at the end of the year.

GST returns and payment due

Your GST return and payment are due for the taxable period ending July.
